Adding a base plate
- [Instructor] This one's the easiest, but it's my favorite because it's probably the one you're going to use. A base plate. Under Projects, let's go Open. I'm going to browse in my Chapter-13, and I'm going to find my base plate model, and of course, like everything else, if you're working on your own model, grab that one. Let's click Open. So the bottom of these columns are begging for a base plate. I'm going to zoom in to this one. Go to the Structure tab. Click your Connection Settings button. Let's grab the top three. Heck, let's grab all these. See how they work. Let's add them. Let's click OK. I'm going to select my column. I'm going to go to Structure. I'm going to click Connection. Now if I click my drop-down, there's all kinds of plates we can put in here. I'll put in a regular base plate for now. And there it is. Let's configure this base plate. So, with it selected, let's go Modify Parameters. And here it is. We can look at our Properties, our Code Checking, our Materials.…
