Cutting holes using void geometry

- [Narrator] In this video let's look at void forms. So when you're creating the 3D geometry for your family content you can use a combination of solids and voids. Now solids naturally represent physical objects and what the void forms do is they just simply cut away from those solid objects allowing you to make more complicated forms than would be available with solids alone. So in this video we're going to use the solid form to create the pockets in our pool table. So it'll be really simple example but it will give you an idea of what the potential of voids are. So I'm going to zoom in here on the plane view and as we mentioned in the previous video it's pretty good idea to get the existing 3D geometry out of the way before you get started. So I'm going to select Derail and go to Hide Element and I'm going to select the Surface here and Temporary Hide and choose Hide Element.
