- [Instructor] In this video, we're continuing with our construction detail, and it's time to add some detail components. So, detail components are used when you want to represent something in your detail that you don't think is worth modeling. Now, these are typically going to represent real life things, actual physical objects, but they're usually small-scale items that are very detailed that wouldn't give much benefit in the overall building model. So, the general rule of thumb is if the element that you're showing is going to need to display in multiple views, plans, sections, elevations, then you should absolutely model it. And that's the case here with this stair and this railing. They're both part of the model and they're displaying in multiple views.
