Adding doors and windows
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to continue with our two-bedroom condominium layout and begin adding doors and windows. So I'll start with the doors, and here on the Architecture tab, I'll click the Door tool or type the keyboard shortcut d + r. And the first thing you'll notice is that you can't place a door in empty space, you must click on a wall, as the little message says, in order to place it. In other words, doors and windows are what we refer to as hosted elements. And they require a wall host. Now it doesn't matter which wall, but a wall is required. Now I'm going to start with the single interior flush door wood panel and the largest size. So in the imperial file, that's a 36 by 84, and in the metric file that's a 900 by 2400. And I'm going to use that as the main door to the entrance of the condo. Notice that you can highlight that wall right there and then move your mouse slightly to flip this…
