Adding doors and windows
- In this video, we're going to continue with our two bedroom condominium layout and begin adding doors and windows. So I'll start with the doors. And here on the architecture tab I'll click the door tool or type the keyboard shortcut D R. And the first thing you'll notice is that you can't place a door in empty space. You must click on a wall as the little message says in order to place it. In other words, doors and windows are referred to as hosted elements and they require a wall host. Now it doesn't matter which wall, but a wall is required. Now I'm going to start with the single interior flush door wood panel and the largest size. So in the Imperial file, that's a 36 by 84 and in the metric file, that's a 900 by 2,400. And I'm going to use that as the main door to the entrance of the condo.
