- [Instructor] It's hard to get around our building without doors, right? Plus, having no windows makes it awfully dreary. The objective of this video is to place some doors and windows, and see how the properties of our doors actually affect our Revit Dim Database. In Revit, under Models, let's go Open. I'll grab my 02_05 model, and I'll open that up. In the Project Browser, under Floor Plans, make sure you're in Level one. Now, before we place a door, what I want to do is, I want to go to my Manage tab. I want to go to Additional Settings, and I want to go to Temporary Dimensions. For my walls, I want a dimension off my Faces. For my doors and windows, I'd like to go off of my Openings, click OK. On the Architecture tab, click the Door button. Make sure at the very end, Tag on Placement, is checked on. Notice if we pull our cursor into our drawing area, we get the no symbol. When we hover over an actual element, we…
