Adding duct connectors to a VAV
- [Instructor] With the VAV created and categorizes mechanical equipment, we can now start adding connectors. What I'd like to do is under Families, let's go Open. Browse to where you're keeping your exercise files in Chapter Four, grab my 04_12_VAVConnector, click Open. Hey, we can stay right in a 3D view. So let's start with our Supply Duct, on the Create tab let's click on Duct Connector. Let's hover over this face and select it. Perfect. Hit escape a few times. Now select your connector. The shape is rectangular. The height, let's click on the Associate Family Parameter, let's associated with Duct Height. The Width, let's click on the Associate Family Parameter, let's associate that with Duct Width. Let's click OK. Now let's keep going down through. Flow Configuration is going to be System, Flow Direction is going Out. The System Classification is going to be Supply Air. For the Loss Method…
