Adding fittings to a pump
- With the 3D elements of our pump out of the way let's look at putting the engineering data in. In Revit, under families, let's go open. Browse where you're keeping your exercise files. And in chapter five, I'm going to select my zero five zero seven pump family. And I'm going to click open. Let's go to a front elevation. Go ahead and select your sweep here. Let's click on edit sweep. Let's click on sketch path. Notice that that's where sometimes our dimensions show up. So if you ever opened a family that someone else made and you can't find a parameter, a lot of times they're just basically hidden. So for this one foot one I'd rather put that on a parameter. So if we select one foot one, if we click create parameter. For the name, I'm going to call it OutTake Length, and click OK. Now that parameters should be something. So let's go into our family types. And if we look at our outtake length equals let's just say…
