- [Instructor] Our building sure does need some floors. In this video, I'd like to create a floor system for a slab on grade, than a floor system with a structural deck. In Revit under Models let's go Open. I'll grab my 0206 model, then click Open. In the project browser on our Floor Plans make sure you're in Level 1. On the Architecture tab, let's click the Floor button right here. We have a Generic 12-inch, that's fine. We can start with that. Let's click Edit Type. Now let's click Duplicate. We'll call this 6" Slab on Grade, click okay. Now for the structure under Value, let's click Edit. We'll keep it at Structure 1. But for the Material, click into recess by Category let's click our ellipsis icon which will browse to our Material dialogue. Now in our search bar type in conc, you'll grab Concrete Cast in Place gray. Click okay. For the Thickness, let's make it six inches. Make sure it's six inches, not six…
