Adding foundation walls
- [Instructor] Our building needs something to bear on. Concrete foundation walls will be perfect here. The objective of this video is to add a foundation wall around the perimeter of our building and place a continuous footing underneath it. In Revit under Models let's go Open. I'll browse to my 03_05 model and click Open. Now in the project browser under structural plans, let's make sure we're in Level 1. What I'd like to do is temporarily hide these column lines. Go ahead and just select column grid line number one or any column grid line. On your view control toolbar, notice you have a little pair of sunglasses. Go ahead and click on those. And let's Hide Category, this is Temporary Hide/Isolate. Cool. Go to the Structure tab. Click on the Wall button. In our Properties, let's scroll down until we find Foundation - 12" Concrete. Let's click Edit Type. Let's click Duplicate. Let's call that Foundation - 1'-6"…
