Adding grids

- [Instructor] Another common early setup task for many projects is to create a column grid. Now, column grids are very common in commercial buildings. If you're working in smaller buildings or residential buildings, you may not need a column grid, but for any building that has a decent amount of columns there's usually some sort of a column grid involved and we can lay out column grids in much the same way that we lay out levels. The only difference is where levels ran parallel to the ground and were horizontal planes, grids are going to run perpendicular to the ground and they're going to be vertical planes. Now, to get started, I'm here in a Level One floor plan and I'm just going to zoom in a little bit on this little roughed out building shape that I have right here. And we're going to use this building shape just to help us place the grids. So, on the Architecture tab we have the Grid button right here, shortcut for that is g+r.
