Adding levels
- [Instructor] One of the first things you'll do when setting up a new project is establish where the levels are. So levels quite literally represent the floor levels within your building. So I always tell people, if there's a button on the elevator, you want put a level their. Levels will establish where all of the floor plans are cut but you can also use them for other things any important vertical height within your building. Now you can't edit or work on levels from a floor plan view. So you have to open up some other view. Usually sections or elevations are the best choice but you can even do it in a 3D view. So what I'm going to do is open up the South elevation and these are the levels here, these dash lines. And if you think of that as the edge of a plane then you've got the right visual concept in your mind.
