Adding a light source to a fixture
- Lighting fixtures need a little more data than a normal family. The objective of this video is to add a light source, an IES file, and a room calculation point to a two by four lighting fixture. In Revit, let's just go open under models. Browse where your keeping your exercise files. I have a zero three zero two, two by four fixture model we can use. Click open. Let's go to the ref level floor plan. Now let's go back to family category and parameters. I purposely skipped this in the last video. Now, I want to scroll down here, down to add light source. Now scroll down a little more. Let's maintain annotation orientation. Scroll down a little bit more and let's make it a room calculation point. Click both of these. Click OK. Now, it's just going to out this where you would expect it to go. We kind of want it in the middle of the light. Let's go to our front elevation now and see where it puts it. Okay, good…
