In this video, learn how to open up sea bass, add some parameters, and add some offspring.
- Everyone, I'd like you to meet Sebastian. better known as Sea Bass. Sea bass has a job to do in our model. Not only a Sea Bass a cool character, but this character comes with an actual family. Literally, there are offspring. It's the first actual family within a family. This family is pretty simple. We don't need anything fancy. All we need to know is how big each member of the family is and what the safe spacing around the individual is. So in this video, I'd like to actually open up Sea Bass, add some parameters and add some offspring. In Revvit under families, let's go open. Browse to where you're keeping your exercise files. There should be a Sebastian folder. Grab Sea Bass, notice there's Sebastian's arm. We'll look at that too. Let's click open. And here's the front view of Sea Bass. I left a couple parameters out. So what we can do is we can kind of go through and make Sea Bass work. Notice that we've got two arms. That's the first thing I want to look at. So if I select one of Sea Bass' arms notice, it's a family, I'm going to click "edit family". It's just an arm. Well, kind of an arm. The reason I did this is because of the fact that I'm going to close this out. If we want our shoulder with the flex and of course we want our arms to go with it. So let's see if that works. So for shoulder width, I'd like to go to my family types, change my shoulder width, I don't know, to one foot six, type in one space, six. Click apply, click okay. Excellent. Broad shoulders. See Bass certainly isn't four foot six tall. So let's add a parameter for that. So if we select the four foot six dimension. Let's click the create parameter button here. For the name, we'll give it "height". We'll make it a type parameter. We'll click, okay. Let's go to our family types. Let's change our height to six feet. Sea bass is tall. Click apply, click okay. Sea Bass, six feet. You don't really need any legs, Sea Bass doesn't need them. Then move these dimensions out of the way. Okay, so we know Sea Bass can flex. Six foot high with a one foot six shoulder width, it's pretty decent. Let's click on family types. This is good for Sebastian himself. So let's click on the new type button. Let's call that Sebastian Senior. Don't put a period in there. Click okay. Now let's make a new family type. It's going to be Junior Sebastian Junior, click okay. Junior's not as big. So shoulder width, we'll go with one foot. The height, we'll go with five foot five and apply. Everything looks good to me. Let's make one more. Let's call this one, Sarah Bastion. And she's much smaller with a shoulder width of, we'll say 10 inches and a height of four foot seven. She's just a young one and apply. Hit okay. Go to a 3D view. Go back to our family types. Now we have a whole family, the Sea Bass family. There you go Sea Bass, there you go.
