Adding railings

- [Instructor] There's a couple of different ways we can create railings within our Revit projects, and in this example, what I'm going to start with is creating a guard rail on the second floor, here on the edge of this floor slab. So, you can see I have this Open to Below space looking down into the reception area, and we need some sort of a guard rail here on the edge of the floor. So, all I need to do is, on the Architecture tab, on the Railing button, there's a dropdown here, and the first choice is sketch path. That's the one I'm going to choose, and that takes me into sketch mode. Now, like so many other sketch modes that we've seen, you've got lots of draw shapes here that you can choose from. Unlike other sketch modes, the railing object does not have to be an enclosed shape. It can either be closed or open depending on the needs of the railing.
