Adding a receptacle symbol
- [Instructor] So the trick in this video is to make this receptacle look like a typical symbol and plan and make it look realistic in 3D and elevation. This seems simple, right? Well, there's a couple of tricks here, but essentially we're going to make a new annotation symbol family and load it into our receptical family. Then we're going to test it out in a project. Okay, to get started in Revit, under families let's go to new. Now, I want to actually go to annotations. I want to go down to generic annotation and click open. Some texts here, we can read it, this is the insert point. Pretty obvious stuff. Delete this note before using. Alright, select the note, hit delete, and it's gone. So now the next thing I'd like to do is let's go up here to our family category and parameters.
