- [Instructor] In this video we're going to create our own custom schedule. Now before we do that, let me explain exactly what a schedule is in Revit. It's really not that dissimilar to one of your graphical views, like floor plans, elevations or sections. So, what do I mean by that? Well, let's consider what a floor plan actually is. It is slicing through the model at some location determined by the cut plane height, gathering up all the elements within that slice and then simply drawing them on screen in graphics appropriate to floor plan drawing conventions. And if you think about a section or an elevation, they would be very similar to that description. So, what a schedule is in those terms is simply gathering up all of the elements in the model of a particular category, so rather than slicing the model we're going to gather everything from a certain category, whether it's the doors or the furniture or what it might…
