Adding steel columns
- Now that we have a foundation, we can start getting our steel in. The objective of this video is to add steel counts to our building. In Revit, under models, let's go open. Going to grab 03 07, and then I'll click open. Under structural plans, let's go up to level one. I don't really care to see my architectural model anymore, So type in V G for visibility graphics or you can click edit next to visibility graphics. Let's go down to where it says Revit links. Let's uncheck the architectural model. Click apply, click OK. Go to the structure tab, click the column button. Now I want to load a family. So let's click load family. Depending on where you were last, I'm going to scroll up till I get back to my English Imperial directory. Scroll down to structural columns, go to steel, let's go to HSS hollow structural section column, clip open. You can expand this dialogue, if you'd like. Let's go down to HSS 6 x 6 x 5/8.…
