- [Instructor] Most architectural documentation includes, notes of some kind, so the simplest way to add notes to a view in Revit is using the text tool. Now I'm going to be working in an elevation view, but you can use text in any view in Revit, plan, section, elevation and so on. So the text tool is up here on the quick access toolbar or you can get to it on the annotate tab right there or you can type the keyboard shortcut T + X, the types are available over here, so that usually controls the size and the font that you're using so choose something appropriate for notes, and then over here on the leader panel you can decide whether you want it with or without a leader, so this first note I'm going to do with no leader, just sort of click somewhere and type in the note that I want to have here, common mistake that folks make next, is they'll press Enter to try and complete the note, but notice that just goes to the next…
