- [Instructor] Even when you've been using Revit for a long time or programs like Revit for a long time you still discover things along the way, sometimes quite by accident. So I had one of these little happy accidents recently where I discovered that you can snap dimensions to reference planes. So I was thinking about whether or not there was any practical use for that, and it started to occur to me that yeah I think there is. And so this week what I'd like to share with you is creating some reference planes and using those to align the dimensions in our various views in a project, in our construction document views in particular. If you're like most architects then you care quite a bit on what your final documents look like. You want them to be clean. You want them to be legibile.
