The BIM Overlay to the RIBA Outline Plan of Work

- [Narrator] In the UK, the Royal Institute of British Architects, or RIBA for short, have developed a BIM overlay for their outline plan of work. So this will be applied to any architectural project. And you can see there, in the diagram, exactly how that BIM overlay works. And what you do is you overlay this particular process to any project that you work on. So if you're a registered architect with RIBA and you're working on a project and you're the lead architect on the project, this is the workflow you would look at to optimize that BIM workflow on your project. So you see that the, sort of, stick in the sand is level zero, which is CAD. You've adopted CAD. Now that might be AutoCAD. It might be Revit. It might be another Proprietary CAD or BIM product. So you see there at level zero, you're just using CAD. That's it. It could be flat 2D drawings at that point. As you work to BIM level one, you're starting to move…
