- [Instructor] Committing to transitioning a firm to BIM is a huge and daunting task. There is an enormous amount of overhead dedicated to training and standards development and even then, the return on investment is many times obscured and it can be hard to see how this new technological development can be beneficial to your firm. By using a templated architect's BIM execution plan, an architect can enhance their return on investment by becoming a stronger team player within the context of the project from design to building occupancy. Many times architects think they are doing BIM simply because they are using Revit and this couldn't be farther from the truth. Don't get me wrong. Using Revit to create drawings in a more intelligent way is a stronger workflow than creating one sheet at a time with AutoCAD. But just using Revit isn't quite BIM.
