- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to show you how you can import a CAD file. Now this is different than linking in the sense that it will not remain connected to the original file. So you want to do this when you want to bring the file in one time only, and you have no intention of updating it. Now, having even said that, there are plenty of CAD and BIN managers that would argue that you should always use link. So I'm aware of that, and I want to make you aware of it as well, but there are some subtle differences between link and import CAD. And so in the interest of education, I want to show you both methods, but of course it's best to check with your support personnel to make sure that you're not inadvertently doing something you're not supposed to.
