Control door swing angle with a sweep

- [Instructor] This week I want to revisit the concept of creating a parametric door swing. If you've ever tried to create a door family that has a parametric swing angle, then you've probably tried this approach where you create a reference line and then you constrain that reference line and then use a swing angle parameter that drives an angular dimension to drive the rotation of that reference line, and then you build all the geometry relative to it. And this can be effective and it does work and I've demonstrated this approach many times myself. But it also can be a little bit fragile and there are times when certain angles won't work and it will break the Families. As an alternative, I was at a conference recently, and a good friend of mine, John Pierson from EvolveLAB, was demonstrating the use of the built-in angle parameter that's already part of a sweep object.
