Convert In-Place Families to component loadable families

- [Instructor] This week I want to talk a little bit about in-place families and specifically what to do with an in-place family if you discover that you would actually like to, for lack of a better word, promote it to an actual family. So just to kind of reiterate what an in-place family is in case you're not aware, an in-place family is a special kind of family that you build literally in-place in a project to conform to the surrounding geometry or other existing conditions that occur in that location. So for this really simple example that I have right here, I've got this curved countertop casework configuration. And you can see that the curved piece of millwork matches the curvature of this wall. So the idea is that we have this very unique piece of casework, and we just went ahead and built it right in place to match the existing wall that it was being attached to.
