Create a vase

- [Instructor] This lesson is about materials, but more importantly, it's a practical lesson on how we can use the tools in order to create the kind of objects that we want to create. The first thing I want to do is actually create an object that we can apply a material to. To create that object, let's first go into an elevation view. So where we have Elevations, double-click on Front. Now the kind of object that I want to create will be a glass vase, or just some sort of pot, anything that you can possibly pour liquid into. To create that object, I would come up here to the Create tab, then select on Revolve. After clicking on Revolve, let's draw in the actual profile shape of that object. To draw the profile shape in, start by clicking down here, where we have these lines that are sort of crossing each other, then come over. And I'd like to have this line come over about a foot.
