Creating a 3D exit sign
- [Instructor] Okay, this is the fun part of the exit sign. What we'll do here is make the 3D version of it. The trick here is to use model text. So let's get started by jumping into Rabbit. Under families, we will go new. We'll scroll down to generic model face based. This specific exit sign is going to mount to the wall. Click open. First thing I'd like to do is go to family category and parameters. Let's make sure this is a lighting fixture. Let's make sure we maintain annotation orientation but I don't want to define it as a light source. Click Okay. Now let's make some reference planes. Let's right click on this reference plane and create similar. On the draw panel we'll click on pick lines. We'll offset at six inches to the left to the right let's offset it three inches up and then down the escape and the measure panel click the aligned at the dimension button. Let's go from here to here to here pick off…
