Creating blends
- [Instructor] Blends work well when you need to fuse two different types of geometry together. If you have a shape of a rectangle on one side and a circle on the other, this type of extrusion is wonderful. Okay, so, let's create a blend. This time, I want to start a brand new family. So under Families, let's go New. Scroll down until you find Generic Model. Select it. Click Open. As we know, we'll default in our floor plan Ref Level. Let's create some reference planes. Let's right-click on this reference plane and Create Similar. On the Draw Panel click Pick Lines. For the Offset, let's go one foot. Left, right, up, down. Hit Escape a few times. Let's dimension 'em, and add a parameter to 'em. Going to click these points. Pick constrain it, pick these points. I'm going to select a two-foot, hold down my Control key and select this two feet. Now I'm going to click on Create Parameter. I'm going to call it…
