- When you add construction details to your documentation set, they will often include some live model geometry as well as some overlaid two dimensional geometry that sits on top. So I like to refer to these as hybrid details. Now it's not the only way to create a detail in Revit, but it is certainly a very common way to approach it. So what I'd like to do is do a really brief demonstration of how this hybrid detailing process works. So it's going to begin with a view of the model. So I'm going to create a detail of this prep station right here. So I'm going to start with a section cut, now when you click the section tool there are a few choices over here on the type selector. So since we're doing a detail I'm going to choose a detail section. I'm going to click the first point of my section here in the dining room area a little to the right of the low wall and then just sort of drag through the low wall like so. Now…
