Creating a custom basic wall type
- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to show you how to create your own custom basic wall type. So, the example we're going to use is this wall right here that's between the two toilet rooms, it's a little bit narrow, and there's not quite enough room for the plumbing to fit in that wall. So, all you need to do when you want to make your own custom wall type is start with a wall that's close to what you want, duplicate it, and then modify that duplicate. So, that's the process we're going to follow here. So, I've got the wall selected, I'll come over here to the properties palette, and click the Edit type button. Now, super important a mistake that a lot of folks make is they sort of dive right in and start making changes. If you do that, you're going to be changing all instances of the current type which is my interior partition throughout the building, and they're all going to look like plumbing walls, which is probably…
