Creating footprint roofs

- [Man] In this video we're going to create some roofs and we're going to use the roof by Roof by Footprint tool, which is functionally very similar to drawing floors. So if you've already drawn some floors, then the basic sketching process of creating a footprint roof will be nearly identical. Now, I'm in a roof plan called High Roof. And it's a pretty good idea for you to always start in a roof plan view because that will make sure that the height of the roof is at the correct location relative to your building. If you don't remember to do that, you can always move the roof later. But it's just a little bit easier if you do that first. On the Architecture tab we'll click the dropdown here and it's Roof by Footprint that we want. And that's also the default button. So you could click it there as well. Now that takes us to sketch mode. And, of course, we can see that our model has tinted out in this halftone color. Revit…
