Creating footprint roofs
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to talk about the Footprint Roof command. Footprint Roof command allows you to work in a planned view, create a 2D sketch of the outline of the roof, and then it will create the 3D roof element, complete with any sloping edges that you decide to enable. So, we're going to go ahead and get started with the high roof. This building actually has two different roofs. So over on the left-hand side, we have a high roof above the two-story portion of the building, and then there's a lower roof over the one-story portion of the building, on the right. So, I'm in the high roof floor plan, and I'll click the Roof button, or if you're using the drop-down, it's just the Roof by Footprint, that first item off the list.
