Creating groups
- [Instructor] Architecture has all sorts of examples of repetition and repetitive elements. A two bedroom condominium unit is a great example of that. We might have several instances of this unit. Well, groups are a tool in Revit that allow us to create a collection of elements together as a single item and then manage changes to that by making a change to any one instance of the group and that change will update everywhere. So I'd like to demonstrate how that works for you here. So what I'm going to do to get started is I'm going to use a crossing selection and select all of the geometry that you see on screen. So make sure you've windowed absolutely everything. And then on the create panel of the modified tab is the create group button or G+P is the shortcut. Now you're actually creating two groups here.
