Creating a light fixture for track lighting

- [Instructor] What I'd like to do next is a two-video series for track lighting. The first video will have us modeling the smaller legs that get arrayed down the track. The second video will have us creating what's called the line-based family. Then we're going to create some parameters that we can set the multiple spacing for in our track light. Going to be awesome. To get started, I'm going to jump into Revit. Under FAMILIES, let's go to New. Let's scroll down to Generic Model. Let's click Open. Okay, these lights will be facing downward, so I want to do all my modeling in our Front Elevation. So under Elevations, let's go to Front in the Project Browser. Let's create some reference planes. Let's right-click on this reference plane and Create Similar. On the Draw panel, click the Pick Lines button, and offset that two inches. I'll set it down three times. Hit Escape a couple times.
