Creating a new family from a template
- [Instructor] So in this video, we're going to start creating a custom piece of Family content. Now, we're going to build this completely from scratch from one of the provided out-of-the-box templates. So I will start here at my Recent Files screen and click the New icon right here. Now this will take me to my Family Templates folder. So, depending on the version of Revit you have and what options you did during installation, you may see different folders here but I'm going to go into the English Imperial folder. If you're working in metric units, you can go into the English folder or whatever other folder you'd like to get a metric version of the template. Now, the template that we're going to use is the furniture template but what I like to do in folders like this is I like to click the first item and then use the arrow on my keyboard to kind of page through them.
