Creating a new project from a template
- [Narrator] When you first create a new project in Revit, you will often do so by starting with a project template. And a project template is just a starter file that configures all of the settings and potentially the views and other configurations that you find useful for beginning a new project. Now you can start all your projects with the same template or you can even have different ones for different purposes. So you might have one for commercial projects and another one for residential projects. So check with whoever's in charge of those things at your firm. And there's a pretty good chance that there's a custom template or templates available to you that you're going to use for creating new projects. For the examples we're going to look at here, we're going to look at some of the provided templates that come with the software, just to kind of give you a sense of what a template can do for you.
