Creating a night light
- [Instructor] Okay, I'd like to make a nightlight symbol. This is essentially just going to be a detail item that we put into our 2x4 Fixture Family. So, under Families, let's go New. Let's scroll down 'til we find Detail Item, right here. Detail Item, click open. Now, this is a very similar process. Only, we don't have any 3D items, right? But we can create reference planes in dimension. So if I right click on this reference plane, and Create Similar. On my job panel, I can click my Pick Lines button and I can offset this two feet. Of course I can offset one down, to four feet. It's going to be two by four. In the measure panel, click the Align Dimension. Strong to weak. Make a point here. Let's go strong to weak. Make a point here, hit escape a couple of times. Click on the two foot dimension. Let's click on, Create Parameter. Let's call it width. Click OK. Click the four-foot dimension, click the Create…
