Creating parameters
- [Instructor] Parameters are the driving force behind a parametric family, obviously. When remodeling a family we want to give the individual using that family some choices. These choices can be dimensions, materials, yes, no buttons and an entire array of other options. Also, parameters can tell other parameters what to do based on mathematical formulas. Basically, telling the family that if this condition occurs then I want this to happen. It's pretty sweet. What I'd like to do in this video is put in some reference planes, dimensioned them and then we're going to look at some parameters. So in Revvit, under families, let's go new and you probably get the pattern here. We're going to go down to generic models. This is the last time I'll make you do this for this specific chapter.
