Creating a pipe accessory annotation
- [Instructor] What I'd like to do now is make the annotation symbol for a schematic one line plans for a ball valve. To do that in Revit, we'll go to Families, then we'll go to New. We'll go to Annotations. Let's go to Generic Annotation. Now, first order of business, we'll delete this little red note on the Create tab. We'll click on Line. On the Draw panel, we'll click Pick Lines. And we'll offset 1/16 of an inch. Offset this line up. Offset this one down. We'll go left. We'll go right. Hit Escape a couple of times. On the Create tab, we'll go back to Line. Then draw a line from here to here. Then from here to here. Let's delete these two lines. Type t + r for trim. Then Escape a couple of times. I like it. Let's go to Create. Let's go to Line, we'll draw a little handle on it. The point here, let's come down 1/8 of an inch. Come over till it hits that, I guess. Let's move it up, I think, maybe 1/32…
