Creating thickened slabs

- [Voiceover] So we need to thicken our slab edges. What I'd like to do is go down to our level 1, then we're going to treat this edge right here. But the first thing I want to do is examine exactly what a thickened slab is and what it means to Revit. So let's go down to Structural Plan Level 1. Now we'll see that if we go to the Structure tab, we see the Floor button, but yet there's a little dropdown next to it. If you click the dropdown next to it, let's go down to Floor Slab Edge. We have Slab Edge Thickened 24" x 12". I'm going to go ahead and click on Edit Type. The profile that we see here is literally just a 2D linework Slab Edge Thickened 24" x 12" so if we click the dropdown, we'll see we can use any profile that we want with it. It just so happens that this is going to be a Slab Edge Thickened 24"x12". But what I want to do first is hit Cancel, and in my Project Browser, I want to go down to Families.
