- This week's tip idea comes courtesy of Tim waldock, my good friend over at the RevitCat blog, I was reading his blog recently, and he had this post about customizing the way that 3D views are created, specifically controlling the visibility of various objects that you may not want to display when you first create a 3D view. So I thought it was a good post and that I would share with you here. Now I want to say that I'm working in Revit 20.2, which at the time of this recording is the latest release of Revit. And in that release, they've now introduced a new internal origin point. So depending on your release, you may or may not have access to that object. But in general, what the origin point is, is this little colored tripod axis indicator that you can neither select nor snap to. So it's only purpose is just a visual indicator of where the unmovable internal Revit origin is. And here in a floorplan, I'm just seeing the x and y axis.
