Cutting holes using void geometry
- [Voiceover] The overall form of any family geometry that you build in the family editor can be created from both solid and void forms. So we've already looked at some solid forms to create the basic playing surface of the pool table. And in this movie we're gonna look at some void forms to cut the pockets out of the corners. So if you look at your create panel you'll see that you have a void forms drop down, and the same five shapes that we have available on solid forms are also available as voids. So make sure you're in the floor plan view, and then what I'm gonna do is temporarily hide both of the solid forms that are currently in this view. And that's gonna make it a lot easier for me to snap to the reference planes. And generally speaking we wanna always build our geometry relative to reference planes not other geometry. It just keeps the hierarchy very clear. Let's go back to create. Let's click the void forms drop down. And I'll choose void extrusion. Now if I wanna be…
