The Datasmith Export tool in Revit 2021
- The next step in the workflow that you need to follow to get your Revit 3D models from Revit into Unreal Engine is to utilize what they call Datasmith. Now you'll notice on the screen in front of you, you have the Unreal Engine webpage, unrealengine.com. And if you look at the browser bar, it then goes /en-US/datasmith/plugins. Don't worry about trying to remember the URL. Just literally go to your browser and type in what you can see in big white print at the top of the screen, Datasmith export plugins. If you type that into something like google, you'll find this page really easily. You do need and I always suggest that you have this anyway, you have an Unreal Engine login. If you've already installed Unreal Engine, you'll be able to sign in anyway here, like so. So you sign in and make sure that you've got what you need by way of the Unreal Engine website.
