Draw lines between element locations - Revit Tutorial
From the course: Dynamo: Revit Workflow
Draw lines between element locations
- [Instructor] In this video, we'll be able to tackle the first three steps of our road map. We'll gather the elements from Revit, find all of the elements' locations, and draw a series of lines to measure distances between each set of location points. I'm going to start out by opening a new Dynamo home workspace. Let's begin in the Revit selection section of the Node library. In this case, we need to bring in two lists of Revit elements. One list of the seat families in the room that we'd like to analyze, and the other list of the electrical outlets we'd like to measure their distances to. For this example, I think it's a good idea to use the select model instances node to manually select our Revit elements. This node functions nearly identically to the select model element node that we used in the last chapter, but this node lets us select multiple Revit elements within a selection window. I'll go ahead and add two of these nodes to our workspace. We're about to hop back and forth…
