Duplicating and swapping groups

Duplicating and swapping groups

- When you're using groups to manage repetitive elements within your project, it's important to understand that one of our most common techniques that we use to manage elements within Revit in general, we can actually apply equally to groups, and that common procedure is the ability to select an element, edit its type and make a duplicate. For example, it's very common to be able to select an object and make a new type, so, perhaps, in this mechanical room, I'd like a door that's a little bit wider than the one that's here. We know that we can go to Edit Type, click Duplicate, give our new type a name, and then modify whatever parameters are appropriate in order to make this new type match the description that we input for the name and when I click OK, you can see that I now have a larger door.
