Exporting to AutoCAD

- It's fairly common that you will need to collaborate with someone who is not using Revit. And in such cases, you will probably want to periodically export one or more of the views from your Revit project into a file format that their software can understand. Now, the most popular file format is the AutoCAD DWG format. And so that's what we're going to look at here. But Revit actually supports export to a few different popular CAD formats. So all I need to do is go up here to the file menu, and highlight export, that will expand a menu on the right. And then up here at the top, we've got CAD formats, and those are the formats that you can export from Revit. So the only thing I want to say here is, if you choose ACES SAT files, those are 3d files, so you need to make sure that you start in a 3d view here before choosing that one.
