- [Instructor] Facilities management not only has interest in BIM after the project is completed, but they also have an interest in BIM while the project is moving along. Because of that we first need to ask the question of when will FM, which is facilities management, get access to the model? Will this occur while the project is occurring? While we're still developing the designs? Or will it be after the project has been built? This starts to get important, because we also need to know what the facilities management will be able to dictate as far as what is in the model. What information needs to be a part of that model? What information do they need in that model that they can use in their own software later on? Also, will facilities management be able to review the model before construction installation occurs? For me, this is a big deal. Should the facilities management team, the people that actually need to do maintenance on all of these parts and components, have a say in where…
