Imbedded schedules
- This one's kind of weird, but Revit now lets us embed any schedule we want into a room schedule. I didn't even know this feature existed until I noticed it one day. So, let's go ahead and embed a casework schedule into a room schedule. To do so, I'm going to go into Revit. Go to Open, browse to where we're keeping our exercise files, grab Architectural-Imbed and open 'er up. On the View tab, let's click the Schedules dropdown and we will go to Schedule/Quantities. Come down and find a room schedule and click OK. Available fields, I'll throw in the usual suspects, Name and Number. Of course, move Number up. And you know how I love that Area. Add Area and move it down. Now notice we can embed a schedule, so go to Embedded Schedule. Click Embedded Schedule, grab Casework. Now, if we go to Embedded Schedule Properties, we can go with Family and Type. I guess maybe Level. Add a Finish. It'll be empty, but that's fine. A Description, whatever you want. We can filter it the same as we can…
