- [Instructor] In this video, I want to share with you a couple of tips or issues that you might run into with working with CAD files in Revit project. So the first one is going to apply to either links or inserts. And the second one really is only going to apply to inserts. So let's start off with the first issue and that's going to be visibility in the CAD file. So as you're probably aware, CAD files are organized on layers. Layers can be named anything you like, and it's a way of organizing the geometry within that CAD file. So when you bring one of these CAD files into Revit, you might want to have access to that list of layers and be able to either change the visibility settings or turn them on and off, things like that. So how do you get access to those layers to be able to make those kinds of changes? So there's really two ways that you could do that.
