Importing a CAD drawing
- [Instructor] We're starting another chapter now and we're going to look at importing one of your CAD drawings into your Revit model as part of your beam workflow. Now we've got a new Revit project available for you, it's called one 1031 South East Madison sample project.RVT. And it's blank, as you can see. Now just bear in mind we are using the latest version of Revit, Revit 2020. So the RVT file can only be opened by Revit 2020. That is a specific thing with Revit, so just be aware of that, you will need a version of Revit 2020 to open the RVT file. Now you can see that we are in a blank Revit project. You can see in the project browser, we're currently at level zero in the floor plans and you can see that we're in a floor plan in the properties.
